Lokvarka Cave

It is the deepest cave in Croatia and has 6 levels, the first 4 of which are open to visitors. The length of the currently discovered part of the cave is 1179 meters, the depth is 275 meters, and the depth of the restored part is 75 meters. The temperature inside the cave ranges from 6 to 8 degrees. It was restored for tourism in 1912.

Zeleni vir and Vražji prolaz, protected in 1962 for their beauty and geological value, are a special geomorphological reserve near Skrad. Zeleni vir, located at 302 meters above sea level, can be reached from several directions, and there you will discover a beautiful waterfall and vertical rocks. Vražji prolaz, one of the most beautiful canyons in Gorski kotar, offers the pleasure of walking along the Jasle stream and exploring the Muževa hižica cave, for which equipment and mountaineering skills are required.

Lokvarsko Lake

There are three lakes in Fužine: Bajer with a beautiful promenade and cycling trail, Lepenica and the smaller Potkoš lake. Also, the most important is the Vrelo cave. Kamačnik Canyon

Kamačnik Canyon is another location in Gorski Kotar that will enchant you with its beautiful nature. The entrance to the canyon is located a few hundred meters from the train station in Vrbovsko, and it takes about an hour and a half to walk to the spring itself. You will want to stop at every step and soak up the beauty of the nature that surrounds you. The spring is located at 405 meters above sea level and is one of the 5 deepest in Europe. In the upper reaches of Kamačnik there is an educational and didactic trail that interprets the natural features of this area, and on the promenade along the Kamačnik stream there is a Pan's Trail with five sound installations. The botanical trail will help you learn about the flora and fauna that lives here.

Source of the Kupa River

Risnjak National Park is home to the source of the Kupa River, one of the strongest, most widespread and deepest Croatian springs, forming a green-blue lake at an altitude of 321 meters. The upper reaches of the Kupa River are known as the Magical Valley of Butterflies due to the richness of its flora and fauna. The source of the Kupa River can be visited from two directions within the borders of the national park - from the village of Razloge, 15 km from Crni Lug, and the village of Kupari, 30 km away, with the entrance from Razloge being recommended due to the narrow roads. Hiking trails from Razloge and Kupari lead to the source of the Kupa River, allowing you to enjoy beautiful nature with different walking and return times.

Bijele and Samarske stijene are one of the most impressive landscapes in Croatia, with the status of a strict nature reserve. They are located in the central part of Velika Kapela, stretching through two counties - Karlovac and Primorje-Gorski Kotar. Hiking in this area, although relatively demanding, rewards you with incredible karst formations and spectacular landscapes. This demanding climb is an attractive hiking trail that will leave you breathless.
